Coffee, Gin and Nearly 50 (Chapter 6)
Wow what a Bank Holiday weekend !! We have had every weather imaginable.. Snow, Hail, Rain, Sun, Wind... compared to the same weekend last year where we were all sweltering in the sun, it has certainly been a mixed bag.
On Saturday 4th May we set of to Worstead to attending Wildfest.. Organised by the lovely Mike from Wildcraft Brewery.
We left in sunshine from home and arrived to sunshine but very windy... We managed to set up before the first hail storm. We were unable to put up the sides on our gazebo due to the high winds (If I had known I would of put my red sparkly shoes on and called myself Dorothy!!) But as real troppers we carried on. It was great to be there with some of our fellow Proudly Norfolk members - Raj from Currylicious and Fine Norfolk Provender Churtneys and Jams, Boudicca Brewing Co.
Also the wonderful Graham Pentelow Beverages was in attendance as well as lots of local craft stalls.
Also we had a visit from the Star Wars Cast -#Maythe4thbewithyou - We fuelled the storm troppers up on our coffee !!
Despite the rubish May Bank Holiday Weather we had a fabulous day.
Sunday the weather was slightly better.. the wind had dropped and the sun was sort of shining.. we set off to Kerris FarmHouse Pine at Reepham to attend one of their pop up events. We attending one last year which was a great sucess. We set up next to the lovely Will from Nortons Dairy from Frettenham who are a family run farm who produce Milk, Cream, Butter, Yoghurt and Soft Cheeses. There were lots of craft producers in attendance too from woodwork to card to jewellry to cushions to babygrows.....
Thank you to Anna for orgainsing another fabulous event and a huge thankyou to all our customers, new & old for coming along and stcoking upon our coffee.. It was great to see you all as always.
Next weekend - Sunday 12th May we will be in Aylsham at The Big Norfolk Sausage Bash Being held at Aylsham Market Place and on Red Lion Street from 10am to 4pm on May 12, the event brings together foodie stalls, demonstrations, local brewers and producers of some of the finest sausages in the county and beyond for one day only. Certainly an event not to be missed !!
