Coffee, Gin and nearly 50 (Chapter 8)

Wow where has 12 days gone since my last update ? It's been non stop here at Coffee HQ

I just wanted to say a massive THANKYOU to all those that voted for us in the Muddy Stilettos Finals as Best newcomer... We didn't win but we are overjoyed to have been in the top 5 of new businesses in Norfolk. Our great friends WhataHoot Gin Jason & Nicky; won overall and we were up against some tough competition but a massive congratulations to them.

We have also been nominated in the EDP Norfolk Food and Drink Awards 2019 as best newcomer also.

Best Newcomer

The award is open to any business or individual who has started a food and/or drink Venture in the last three years (since January 2016). The judges will be looking for an outstanding early stage business which has already become a success story or shows promise to become one.

There is still time to vote https://www.norfolkfada.co.uk/ Please vote before 9th June 2019

We have been super busy... and have attended two fabulous events with our coffee and I have made a new coffee herb mix which is fabulous with tomato based sauces. Recipe for my Spag Bol to follow later

We had a fabulous time at The Tacons - Asparagus Festival and Reepham Food & Drink Festival - Both were well attended and had an abundance of local producers in attendance.

Someone said to my husband on Sunday "There are some really talented people in Norfolk, just look at what we are surrounded by here today, all this fabulous food & drink" What a wonderful thing to say.... I agree there are someamazing producers in Norfolk, there probably are lots all over the country but NORFOLK seems to have the best. I have met at events people that have been visiting Norfolk on holiday and they always say there is nothing like this where we live ? Whether they don't realise food & drink fayres exist in their county or perhaps they don't ??

Today we are Pop Up Norwich at Castle Meadow... It is a new concept that is in it's first week and we are joined by RedWings Horse Sanctury, Site, JamPot... Proudly Norfolk are taking over the wholeshop as from 22nd July for a week.. So put the date in your diary folks and come along to support all Proudly Norfolk Food and drink producers. Keep your eye on social media for who will be attending on what dates.

We are also pleased to announce as from today our coffee will also be served at The Pickwick, Earlham Road, Norwich.

22 days and counting !!
